Logo: Ronald McDonald House Charities SK Ball
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane is bringing back the SK Ball for the first time since 1996 and Zipline was hired to assist with the logo for the event. For Thirteen years, Spokane had held this special benefit activity also formerly known as Ronald’s Rowdy Roundup. This unique hoedown had its humble beginnings when Dr. Ken Sutherland and Doug Peters were snowed out of a hunting camp and spent a night or two in Dillon, Montana. The idea started small… a great Western band, a few bales of hay, and a good dance floor brought people out for a uniquely relaxing evening.
On Saturday, May 18th at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, the SK Ball is making a reappearance in benefit of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane. RMHC of Spokane is a home away from home for families seeking medical treatment for their seriously ill children. Opened for 25 years now, their rooms remain filled to capacity most of the time. Their house depends heavily on the generosity of the Inland Northwest communities, and the SK Ball is an excellent way to fund support for these families when they need it most.
