Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative – Logo Design
Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative was formed in 2008 by the merger of Genesee Union Warehouse and Whitman County Growers. These cooperatives independently provided service to producers on respective sides of the Idaho-Washington border for decades, and collectively, representing the consolidation of more than half a dozen smaller firms brought on by the need for accommodating larger volumes and additional services.
All told, membership now exceeds 750 local producers, each represented by one vote regardless of size, and governed by a Board of Directors comprised of nine active grower-members and one independent non-voting outside business consultant.
Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative hired Zipline Interactive to assist with a number of marketing services, the first, the development of a new logo for the organization. The goal of the project was to create a timeless seal that would be an evolution of their existing logo. The new logo also needed to be designed so it could be easily and affordability used in various print materials including product packaging, clothing, and on signage. We succeeded, creating a great looking, traditional, logo that met all their requirements.
