The Hiawatha trail winds through 10 tunnels and 7 high trestles.  This 15-mile route crosses the rugged Bitterroot Mountains between Idaho and Montana. The Route of the Hiawatha is best known for the long, dark St. Paul Pass, or Taft Tunnel, which burrows for 1.66 miles under the Idaho/Montana state line. Originally a railroad line, today, the Route of the Hiawatha is one of the most scenic and family friendly bike trails in the United States.

The Route of the Hiawatha hired Zipline Interactive to assist with the design and development of a new website that made purchasing passes and renting gear much easier. To do this, we combined our knowledge of how people purchase online, with their knowledge of how people ride the Hiawatha. In the end, we built a great looking website that is much easier to use than the website it replaced. The design of the website has a fun and nostalgic feel that makes it exciting to browse and also makes the purchasing experience a breeze for first time visitors. The 2012 Hiawatha season opens May 26th, so you should log on today and buy some passes your your family!
